Egypt and Borussia Dortmund ace Mohamed Zidan says his rehabilitation work will not be affected by the delay of his flight to Germany. The prolific striker could not return to Germany in time because he failed to issue a travel clearance from the Egyptian military administration. Zidan had sustained a serious cruciate ligament injury in Dortmund's 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim in April. He underwent surgery and faced a six-month layoff later on. The former Werder Bremen man assured that he is still committed to his rehab although he is unable to return to Signal Iduna Park. "I am working on my rehabilitation at the German Medical Center in Cairo," Zidan told FilGoal.com. "Many German doctors work there and everything is going well. "The German doctors say they send my X-ray images to Dortmund's medical staff and keep them updated with my condition regularly." Zidan is expected to be back in action late in October. When asked about his military status, the former Mainz hitman said: "I am not banned from leaving the country but I will make sure to avoid this situation in the future. "I will have international commitments soon, so I will be traveling back and forth and I do not want my military status to pose an obstacle. "I will resolve it with the Egyptian military administration once and for all."
