Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has threatened to skip the World Cup after the country's football legend Roger Milla criticized him on Friday. Milla accused Eto'o, who won the treble with Italian giants Inter Milan last season, of not doing enough to replicate his club form with Cameroon. Eto'o responded by highlighting the contributions he made to Cameroon and played down the importance of Milla's achievement of helping the Indomitable Lions reach the 1990 World Cup quarter finals. The 29-year-old took the matter further by throwing his World Cup participation into doubt. "Is it worth me going to the World Cup," Eto'o, who is the African Cup of Nations all-time leading scorer with 18 goals, told French TV channel Canal Plus Sport. "I still have a few days to think about it but I will see if my participation is important because I don't need this in my career." Eto'o is a key member of the Cameroon side who will take part in the June 11- July 11 World Cup finals in South Africa. Cameroon open their campaign against Japan on June 14. They will also face Holland and Denmark in Group E.
