Amr Zaki is still in the dark about whether he can feature in Zamalek's Egyptian Cup games after ending a short spell at English side Hull City. The Egypt striker joined Hull in January on a loan contract that was due to expire at the end of the season but he prematurely terminated it after suffering some niggling injuries. He was hoping to become eligible to play in the decisive stage of Zamalek's season as the Cairo giants bid to win their first piece of silverware since 2008. His participation in the Egyptian Cup initially appeared a formality but it now looks in doubt. "I'm yet to receive international clearance to play with Zamalek, I don't know why," Zaki told FilGoal.com on Friday. "I sat down with coach Hossam Hassan and football director Ibrahim Hassan to know what will happen next, I don't know anything. "I train well everyday to become fully fit for Zamalek matches but now I doubt that I will benefit from that." Zamalek have pointed the finger at the Egyptian FA for the delay of Zaki's international clearance. "We went through all the producers to get it but the Egyptian FA did not speed up the process," Ibrahim Hassan, who already accused the EFA of being biased against Zamalek on several occasions this season, said. "They are yet to contact the English FA, they are deliberately stalling the process. "We could have fielded Zaki in our last two league games to prepare him for the cup campaign if we had received the international clearance." Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan, the twin brother of Ibrahim, will be hoping to have Zaki at his disposal due to shortage of options upfront. He relies on one frontman in Ahmed Gaafar, who scored nine league goals for the White Knights as they finished runners up to arch rivals Ahli in the Egyptian Premier League.
