Zamalek once again condemned Ahli midfielder Mohamed Barakat for his 'immoral' gesture in the Cairo derby on Friday. The White Knights were only seconds away from recording a sensational victory over their arch rivals when Barakat scored a last-gasp equalizer to end the game in a 3-3 draw. Several replays and photos showed that the 33-year-old raised his finger while celebrating the late stunner, which prompted the Cairo club to file a complaint against him. The Egypt ace vehemently denied raising his middle finger but Zamalek remain adamant that he should be sanctioned. "The board members are awaiting the Egyptian Football Association's decision regarding the misconduct of Ahli player Mohamed Barakat," a statement on Zamalek's official site reads. "What Barakat did was immoral although Zamalek's fans were exemplary during the match in terms of discipline and behavior." On the other hand, competition committee head Amer Hussein revealed that neither the referee nor the match commissioner had reported Barakat's alleged misconduct. Consequently, the incident won't be discussed by the committee. The FA's disciplinary committee, however, might take action against Barakat after examining his celebration, Hussein said.
