Zamalek forward Hussein Yasser lauded head coach Hossam Hassan for leading a turnaround in the White Knights' fortunes. The Cairo club suffered a terrible form and a string of poor results under Swiss tactician Michel Decastal and Frenchman Henri Michel early this season. However, Zamalek have shown a great deal of consistency since Hassan took the helm late in November, after both of his predecessors were sacked. "Hossam inspires enthusiasm, ambition and winning spirit among all players," Yasser, who joined Zamalek in the winter on a free transfer, told Modern TV. "We play every game to win and claim all three points. We always keep fighting till the dying minutes." Zamalek, who revel in a six-match winning streak in the Egyptian Premier League, registered a last-ditch 1-0 victory over Arab Contractors on February 17th, after Ahmed Gafaar stroke four minutes from time. Gafaar also hit the winner on 76 minutes in Zamalek's 2-1 win over Ittihad in the next game. Who's Jose?
Neither Jose nor Al-Badri played Yasser regularly Yasser finally feels settled after a dull stint at Ahli. After joining the defending champions in the summer of 2008, the ex-Rayan man struggled in vain to establish himself as a first-teamer under highly-rated coach Manuel Jose. Yasser couldn't blossom even after Hossam Al-Badri succeeded the Portuguese boss in the close season. The 27-year-old eventually preferred a move to Ahli's arch-rivals Zamalek to another fruitless spell with the Red Devils. When asked whether he would like to send a message to Jose, Yasser sarcastically replied: "I don't remember someone called Jose." Both men were understood to be at each other's throats, which in a way inhibited Yasser from achieving his full potential at Ahli. Yasser's highlights
