Bayer Leverkusen failed to go two points clear on top of the Bundesliga table after drawing with Werder Bremen 2-2 on Sunday. Eren Derdiyok put the visitors in front on minute from the hour mark, but Bremen's Claudio Pizarro brought the score level five minutes later. Toni Kroos regained Leverkusen's slender lead on 57 minutes, before Per Mertesacker equalized in the last minute. Leverkusen are still on top of the league table on goal difference with 49 points. Second-placed Bayern Munich are second with as many points.
