Borussia Dortmund and Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan is enjoying the best spell of his football career, following the African Cup of Nations triumph last month. "It is going very well for me. I am at the prime of my career," Zidan was quoted as saying by Revier Sport. "I can feel the confidence that has been shown in me from the Dortmund manager." Since returning from Angola, Zidan has been in impressive form for Dortmund despite the team's losing streak of late. The 27-year-old, who scored against Bayern Munich last Saturday, is currently considered a regular starter along with Lucas Barrios upfront, keeping Tamas Hajnal on the bench. "I am ready to fight for my place. Competition is good for the team and Tamas is a very important part of our team. He has played a prominent role in the preseason with us and we need him," added Zidan. Dortmund host Hannover on Saturday in an attempt to put an end to their three-match losing run.
