Mohamed Zidan has branded Egypt's 4-0 drubbing of Algeria in the African Cup of Nations semi-final 'the most important victory in his life'. The Borussia Dortmund man opened his account in the tournament with a superb strike five minutes past the hour mark to double Egypt's advantage. Egypt went on to add two more goals and grab an emphatic win over their North African rivals, who finished with eight men on the field after three of their players, including keeper Faouzi Chaouchi, were sent off. "This is the best game of my life," Zidan told Al-Jazeera Sport in a pitch-side interview. "We were million times better than Algeria, and this was the best way to restore our pride." Egypt missed out on a place in this year's World Cup finals after losing 1-0 to Algeria in a controversial playoff in Sudan. The Pharaohs, who also eye a record-extending seventh triumph, are now close to securing an unprecedented third consecutive Nations Cup title. They will face Ghana, who claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Nigeria, in the final on Sunday. "It was a make-or-break tie, that's why all the players did their best to claim such an impressive win," Zidan added.
