Qatar forward Hussein Yasser has joined Zamalek on a free transfer, shortly after leaving Ahli, the Whites said on Wednesday. Yasser, 27, rescinded his contract with Ahli earlier on Wednesday after he agreed to pay $300,000 in compensation. His capture is intended to boost Zamalek's attack following the departure of Egypt striker Amr Zaki and the imminent exit of Mido. Yasser failed to impress with Ahli after joining on a free transfer from Boavista two seasons ago. The ex- Rayan forward struggled to establish his first-team place with former coach Manuel Jose and his status has anything but improved under Hossam Al-Badri's management.
