Ivory Coast manager Vahid Halilhodzic believes Egypt, who will be looking to claim a third successive African Cup of Nations title later this month, are the strongest team in Africa. Egypt have surprisingly missed out on booking a place at the World Cup but Halilhodzic still considers them as the superior force in the Dark Continent. "A great team is known for its performance. We can then say that the best team is Egypt which has won several nations Cups," Halilhodzic was quoted as saying on CAF's official website. The Pharaohs will become the first team in Africa's history to win three Nations Cups in a row if they lifted this year's trophy in Angola. They will be also looking to secure a record-extending seventh continental title. Ivory Coast, who will make a second successive World Cup appearance in this year's South Africa finals, are one of the most fearsome sides in Africa but could only win the Nations Cup once in 1992. The Elephants finished second in 2006 and fourth in 2008 and are one of the frontrunners to win this year's edition. "We will do everything to go and win something in Angola," Halilhodzic added. "It will not be easy because there is Cameroon, Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria and even Angola. Going to win something means going as far as possible. Why not win the cup."
