Mohamed Zidan dished out two assists to help Dortmund beat Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg 3-1 before leaving the pitch injured. The Egyptian international rounded two defenders and crossed neatly for Lucas Barrios to open the scoring in the eighth minute. Two minutes later, Zidan beat Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Costa and keeper Diego Benaglio before sending the ball towards the goal only for Barrios to tap into an empty net. But Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp was forced to substitute Zidan in the 60th minute after he was injured while trying to shoot the ball. Klopp said after the game that Zidan suffers a thigh injury but he should be fit for his side's next game against Freiburg on Satuday. Patrick Owomoyela added the third goal for Dortmund in the 37th minute and Grafite notched the consolation goal for the title holders in the 54th minute. The victory put Dortmund in the sixth place with 27 points, five adrift of leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Wolfsburg struggle in the ninth place with 23 points.
