Gianluigi Buffon said Milan are the only Italian side who got what it takes to compete in the Champions League. Buffon's words came after his side lost 2-0 to French club Bordeaux in their penultimate group game on Wednesday. The international goalie believes that his side's approach isn't right for the European competition. "It's not a tactical issue, it's more one of mentality and the fact there is a big difference between playing in Italy and in Europe," the World Cup winner said. "Here you need physical strength and a bit of quality, but in Europe everyone is very organized and you risk some costly slip-ups. "The only Italian side who can do that are Milan and that's why they traditionally do so well in this competition." Milan are the second most successful club in the competition's history with seven titles, just ttwo rophies shy of Real Madrid. Juventus won it twice, with the last time registered in 1996. Buffon's side still have a chance to reach the knockout stage when they host Bayern Munich in the last Group A game. A draw is enough for Juve to qualify alongside group winner Bordeaux.
