Egypt striker Emad Meteb says that the stunner he scored in his country's pivotal 2-0 win over Algeria was the 'most precious' in his career. The Ahli marksman was introduced as a second-half substitute instead of Amr Zaki, to repay the faith of boss Hassan Shehata in his capabilities. Meteb scored the second goal with a neat header in the crucial World Cup qualifier, to set up a playoff game between both teams on Wednesday in Sudan. "Everyone (from Egypt) was depressed in the dying minutes, but not me," the 26-year-old told Ahli's official website. "This was definitely the most precious goal in my life, and I'm sure that we can defeat Algeria in Sudan and realize our dream," he added. Meteb goal came to revive his international career, following a string of poor performances with the African champions and a lengthy layoff. His previous appearance with Egypt was in March against Zambia early in the World Cup qualifying stage, and then he sustained a serious knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for around six months.
