Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan expressed his delight at his side's 2-0 win over Bochum in the Bundesliga on Sunday. The 27-year-old put in one of his finest performances and had a hand in the opening goal, to be named man of the match. After the game, Zidan went towards Dortmund's stands to throw his shirt to his fans, to find them chanting his name after he was declared the player of the day on the scoreboard. The Egypt ace assured that he was ecstatic when he was chosen as man of the match, but stressed that the spectators' celebration mattered to him the most. "I was somewhat surprised that I was elected," Zidan said. "It was an incredible feeling when I was celebrating after the game. I had goosebumps. "The victory against Bochum was really important to me, but the reaction of the fans was even more important." Ahead of the game, Bochum's Algerian defender Antar Yahia vowed to excel against Dortmund and keep Zidan at bay, but the latter was on song. Both players will come face to face once again when Algeria fly to Egypt next month for a crucial World Cup qualifier. "For every player, reaching the World Cup is a dream, and I will help Egypt qualify," the in-form Zidan commented.
