Zamalek playmaker Shikabala lodged an official letter to the club's board apologizing for his tantrum after the 1-0 defeat to Ismaili last week. After the game at Military Academy, Shikabala was seen swearing in fury towards an angry Zamalek contingent and was accordingly sanctioned by the Egyptian FA. "I want to apologize to the club's board, staff, players and beloved supporters for my actions after the match against Ismaili," the 23-year-old said in a statement. "I wasn't furious because some fans taunted me while leaving the pitch, but I was upset with the defeat and I couldn't control myself. "It is up to the club's board to take whatever action against me and I want to apologize once again to the loyal Zamalek fans." Shikabala will miss Zamalek's next two league games through suspension as he awaits his club's decision regarding his indiscipline.
