Zamalek coach Michel Decastel believes his side still have a lot to offer following their 3-1 Egyptian Premier League victory over ENPPI on Friday. The Cairo giants opened their league campaign in the best possible way after producing a superb attacking display. "The best is yet to come," Swiss tactician Decastel told the post-match press conference. "Some players arrived late in the pre-season training camp and some were injured so I expect things to only get better in the coming days." A trademark header by central defender Mahmoud Fathallah gave Zamalek a first-half lead. A superb Shikabala free-kick midway through the second period ensured ENPPI would have a mountain to climb to get something from the game. The hosts, who were looking to ease their African woes after suffering two successive defeats in the Confederation Cup, pulled one back via a powerful Ahmed Al-Muhammadi drive with three minutes remaining. Substitute Ahmed Al-Merghani killed off ENPPI's hopes when he notched home deep into stoppage time to cap an impressive performance from Zamalek. "We were worried because ENPPI played two competitive games before the league's start," Decastel added. "But thankfully, we were able to dominate the game and win."
