Ahli beat Ismaili 1-0 in the Egyptian Premier League decider to claim their 34th title, and FilGoal.com assessed each player from both sides on a scale of 1 to 10. Ahli Ramzi Saleh (5): The Palestinian goalie wasn't sternly tested during the game. He blocked a good number of shots, but his inability to catch the ball could have cost him dearly. Ahmed Al-Sayed (6.5): Al-Sayed was in good form during the game. With a consistent display, Al-Sayed was an obstacle for Ismaili's frontline throughout the match. Ahmed Sedik (6): Sedik also takes some of the credit for Ahli's rock-solid rearguard. He managed along with his fellow defenders to keep the Dervishes' hitmen at bay. Shadi Mohamed (5): The skipper was not as competent as the rest of Ahli defenders. He made several blunders but Ismaili couldn't capitalize on his mistakes. Wael Gomaa (6): The veteran defender was combative, but his harsh intersections could have resulted in his dismissal. He received a yellow-card for a bookable offense. Ahmed Fathi (8): Although he put in a striking performance and was instrumental in midfield, the international midfielder squandered a couple of clear-cut chances. He went one-on-one with the keeper early in the first half but couldn't slot home. He carved out a similar opportunity midway through the period when he feinted past three of Ismaili players, but failed to slide past the keeper. The energetic midfielder managed to fill the void left by mercurial player Mohamed Barakat, thanks to his offensive playing style. Moetazbellah Eno (4): The former Zamalek man was not at his best during the game. He tried his luck more than once with tame long-range shots, but to no avail. Gilberto (7): The left winger set up his compatriot Flavio to score the winner with an inch-perfect diagonal free-kick. He whipped in a host of precise crosses but none of them were diverted home. Hossam Ashour (7.5): Ashour also put in one of his finest displays. His role in midfield undoubtedly helped his team seal the precious win. Mohamed Abou-Treika (6): His display in the first half was impressive, he fed Fathi early in the game with a cunning through, but the latter couldn't convert the one-on-one chance. However, Abou-Treika's level in the second period notably plummeted. Flavio Amado (6.5): Flavio scored a trademark goal after heading home Gilberto's diagonal free-kick. His aerial prowess posed relative threat on Ismaili, but his lack of mobility and poor finishes were no concern for Ismaili. Sayed Moawad (7.5): Mowad was sent into battle in the second half instead of Eno. As in the last few matches, the fully-fit winger pulled strings in midfield and increased Ahli's firepower. Ahmed Hassan (5): The Egypt captain replaced Abou-Treika 15 minutes from time. He made the squad in spite of his harsh facial injury, which he sustained in a car accident.
Fathi He didn't make much of an impact when he stepped onto the pitch. Mohamed Talaat (6): The up-and-coming player was introduced late in the second half instead of striker Flavio. He didn't have much time to make a difference; all the same, he was vital and exerted huge efforts to ensure Ahli's lead. Ismaili Mohamed Sobhi (6): The Ismaili goalie is not to blame for the goal he conceded. He prevented Ahli's Fathi from converting a one-on-one chance and his performance was all-in-all acceptable. Ibrahim Yehia (5.5): His slip-ups were deadly. He gifted Ahli three golden chances, nevertheless, he wasn't the worst among Ismaili's defenders. Dario Khan (3): Khan was off-form. He was unable to make clean interceptions and his poor positioning helped Ahli take control of the game. Sherif Abdul-Fadil (6): Abdul-Fadil performed well in first half when he was deployed as a right back, and also fulfilled his duty in the second period when he switched to a central defender. Moatasem Salem (4): His poor marking cost his team the title. He's responsible for the winner for not intercepting Gilberto's cross that Flavio headed into the net. Ahmed Khairi (6): He tended to advance to help the strikers. He tried to notch a leveler but his shot was saved by Ahli goalie Saleh. But in general, Khairi wasn't at his best . Ahmed Samir Farag (5): Farag didn't come in handy upfront, he failed to support Ismaili's strikers over the 90 minutes of the game. Abdullah Saied (7): The wide man was influential from the left flank. He whipped in a host of crosses and penetrated Ahli's defense more than once, and occasionally excelled as a forward. However, he was considerably selfish and wasn't compatible with his teammates. Mohamed Hommos (6.5): Hommos was the closest to bringing the score level with a powerful shot, but it was denied by the crossbar. He struggled to hit an equalizer, but frequently failed to penetrate Ahli's defense. Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Grisha (5): Even though he netted decisive goals in the past few games, the Ismaili star's performance was mediocre in the league playoff, and failed to impress upfront. Mostafa Karim (4): The Iraqi striker didn't live up to the expectations, and couldn't carve out any worth mentioning chances. He was substituted in the second half after failing to leave his mark. Mohab Saied (4): Saied was sent in right after the interval, but couldn't turn around Ismaili's fortunes. Nasigba John-Jumbo (5): The Nigerian striker was introduced as a replacement for Mostafa Karmi. His agility strengthened Ismaili's frontline but couldn't bring the score level. Youssef Gamal (4): Gamal came in instead of Khairi, but his contribution was negligible.
