Ahli Dubai thrashed Sharjah 4-1 in the UAE League on Friday, while their midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou nearly hit a wonderful opener in the first-half.
The Egyptian international, who put in an impressive performance in the game, tried his luck from the edge of the penalty area, but his effort hit the post and the first period ended goalless.
After the interval, the match's tempo notably stepped up, but the on-loan Ismaili ace Abd-Rabou was not on the score sheet.
Brazilian midfielder Clederson Cesar fired the home side in front after bagging a brace on 47 and 60 minutes.
Cesar's fellow countryman Bare scored Ahli's third on the hour mark, before Faisal Khalil struck again three minutes from the final whistle.
Brazilian hitman Jean Carlos scored the consolation goal for Sharjah in injury time.
Leaders Ahli are now on 48 points in the league table, six points clear of their closest rivals Jazeera, who are facing Ain later on the same day.
