Ahli want-out striker Ahmed Hassan Farag is unlikely to join Police Union, due to the league leaders' insistence to capture defender Ahmed Dweidar in return. Farag recently pronounced his willingness to leave Ahli in order to find first-team football, and Police were quick to show interest, but now talks seem to have reached a dead end. "Negotiations with Ahli over the transfer of Farag have been curtailed because they conditioned signing Dweidar, which we reject," Police assistant coach Mohamed Ibrahim told FilGoal.com. "Dweidar signed a four-year contract with us at the start of the season, and we have no intention of selling him." Dweidar, 21, is having a magnificent season with Talaat Youssef's side, who are now eighth in the Egyptian Premier League. The promising sweeper scored from the spot against Ahli in the first half of the season, earning Police a famous 1-0 victory over the African champions back in November.
