The Egyptian FA said on Thursday they would allow Ismaili's Ibrahim Saied to become a free agent if he paid the club EGP one million. The controversial defender has been seeking to terminate his Ismaili deal after being involved in a dispute with the club's board over his dues. He believed that his contract with the Dervishes should have been annulled because the club 'violated it'. The Egyptian FA have partly granted him his wish. Saied can leave Ismaili but only if he paid EGP one million in compensation. "We are content with the FA decision," Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com. "It proved that we did respect our deal with Saied and that his accusations were wrong." The 29-year-old joined Ismaili in the close season from Turkish side Ankaragucu after failing in his attempts to join either Ahli or Zamalek. Cairo duo Ahli and Zamalek refused to sign the controversial defender due to his past problems with them. Despite his undoubted talent, Saied often fails to play to his potential due to his continuous off-field problems.
