Alexandria - Ahmed Saied and Hatem Maher Egypt keeper Essam Al-Hadari is set to undergo physical tests on Friday in order for the medical staff to determine whether or not he'll be able take part in the Pharaohs' upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifier against Zambia. African champions Egypt host the Chipolopolo on Sunday, and the 35-year-old could miss the game through injury. Former Ahli guardian Al-Hadari sustained a harsh foot knock, and thus took no part in Sion's 1-0 loss to Aarau in the Swiss League. But he showed signs of improvement upon participating in Egypt's training session on Wednesday. Deputy Ready Zamalek goalie Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed could deputize for Al-Hadari against Zambia. "Abdul-Wahed could replace Al-Hadari, who might need more time to recover," Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib said. "He (Al-Sayed) can competently fill the void between the sticks." Al-Sayed has been Zamalek's first choice since the beginning of this term. Over the past few years, he was plagued with a succession of injuries, which dented his first-team prospects for a while.
