Zamalek have signed defender Wael Ismail from Egyptian second tier Rabat & Anwar on a free transfer starting June. Zamalek board member Ahmed Al-Bakri confirmed that the 24-year-old will join the Cairo club from the second-division side after signing a contract on Tuesday. Ismail, who plays as a central defender, joined Rabat in 2006 after leaving ENPPI youth ranks. He joins a number of second-division players acquired by Zamalek this term, including Masr Makassa striker Ayman Kamal, who has just signed on Monday. In addition to Kamal and Ismail, Zamalek brought in Sabri Rahil, Mohamed Al-Morsi and Ibrahim Salah.
