David Beckham looks set to extend his loan with AC Milan until the end of the current season, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday. The English international, whose loan from Los Angeles Galaxy to the Rossoneri was scheduled to expire on March 9th, will now stay at the San Siro at least till May. Milan wanted to buy the 33-year-old permanently but the Italian giants couldn't agree a fee with Galaxy over the player. Now Beckham will extend the loan until the end of the current campaign before returning to Galaxy in the summer, just on time for the start of the Major League Soccer (MLS) second term. By the end of the MLS season in November, Beckham will buy out the reminder of his contract from the American club to re-join Milan. The Mail reported that that the whole deal will cost around £10 million. Milan will pay Galaxy £5 million for extending the loan as Beckham himself will buy out his contract for the other £5 million. The former Manchester United winger joined Galaxy in 2007 after failing to renew his contract with Real Madrid. However, his spell in the United States was marred by his continuous travels to Europe during international games as well as Galaxy's underachievement in the MLS.
