Brazilian playmaker Kaka underlined the importance of keeping David Beckham at AC Milan. The England midfielder, who joined Milan last month from Los Angeles Galaxy on a loan deal that is due to expire on March ninth, is seeking to prolong his stay at the San Siro. Milan are also keen on keeping hold of Beckham but are yet to meet The Galaxy's asking price for him. "I wish Milan can reach a deal to acquire him permanently because he is a player who can help us now and in the coming seasons," Milan star Kaka told Brazilian television. "Maybe it was a marketing move at first, but today the truth is that he is fundamental." Beckham scored two goals in seven appearances for Milan. He also provided many pinpoint crosses to his teammates, who failed to make the most of them. "He is a player that in the last few games was very decisive, with passes and goals," Kaka added. Beckham picked up a slight calf strain during Milan's 2-1 derby defeat to Inter on Sunday but should be to fit to take part in the Wednesday's UEFA Cup clash against Werder Bremen.
