AC Milan denied reports that Abu Dhabi United Group are in talks with the Serie A side over the sale of part of the club. Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera claimed that the oil-rich Arab company, which owns Manchester City, is set to buy 40% of Milan. "In relation to what has been published this morning in Corriere della Sera about a possible sale of part of the club, (holding company) Fininvest and AC Milan announce that the news is without foundation," a Milan statement said. Milan are believed to be encountering financial problems since last season, as they were ready to sell star man Kaka to City for €100million in January. But the Brazilian ace decided to stay at San Siro after protracted talks between the two clubs.
