Al-Badri defends Abdul-Hamid

Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri refused to blame keeper Amir Abdul-Hamid for the goal his team conceded in the 2-1 win over Arab Contractors on Wednesday.
After Mohamed Abou-Treika took a first-half lead for Ahli, Contractors equalized thanks to a shot that went past Abdul-Hamid's reach before Flavio headed late to seal the Red Devil's win.
"Amir isn't solely responsible for the Contractors' goal. The defensive wall also didn't defend the ball properly," Al-Badri said after the game.
"Every keep can have an off day, and we must not forget that Amir played a great role in the team's latest achievements."
Al-Badri admitted that Ahli lost their grip on the game's second half, especially after Contractors scored.
"It was obvious that they (Contractors) were looking to win the game at some point."
"But our players enjoy a high fitness level and that's why we finished off the game before the end," the former Ahli defender added.
