Wigan Athletic midfielder Lee Cattermole is convinced that his teammate Mido is capable of making a tangible impact with the Latics. Towering hitman Mido has recently moved to the JJB Stadium from Middlesbrough on loan till the end of the season, and he scored on his debut to salvage a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Cattermole, who played last season alongside the Egyptian ace at Boro, believes the former Tottenham Hotspur striker has what it takes to pull it off at Wigan. "I spoke with the gaffer on a few occasions about Mido before he brought him here," the defensive midfielder told the Wigan Evening Post. "Steve Bruce asked me what he was like, and I could only say good things about him. "Mido is a great lad who just wants to play football and score goals - you can see the work rate he puts in." Several key figures departed Wigan in the January transfer window, all the same, Cattermole seemed confident about the future. "There is always disruption when you lose players. We had a great team spirit here and now we have a few new faces, we've got to build that again and try to finish the season as strongly as possible," the 20-year-old added.
