Russia coach Guus Hiddink has been officially appointed Chelsea coach, following the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari on Monday. "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm Guus Hiddink will become temporary coach until the end of the season," a Chelsea statement said. "The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the Russian Football Union for their understanding and cooperation." The London club opened talks with the Dutchman on Tuesday after they were given green light by the Russian Football Union (RFU). Hiddink will now manage both sides as his Chelsea contract lasts until the end of the current season.
