Brazilian tactician Luiz Felipe Scolari is set to become the new Chelsea manager on July 1st. A statement on the club's website confirmed that the former World Cup winner will take charge after the Euro 2008 to replace sacked Avram Grant. The decision comes to put an end to speculation over the Blues' new manager. Chelsea have been linked with Marcello Lippi, Carlo Ancelotti, Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink. Scolari has already announced that he won't extend his stay with Portugal after a four-year spell. He led them to the final of the EURO 2004 and are now hot favorites to win this year's title.
