Ayman Abdul-Aziz reiterated his desire to stay at Zamalek although coach Michel Decastel gave him the green light to leave the club. The Zamalek skipper made no secret of his desire to depart after being involved in several disputes with the team's former coach Ahmed Refaat. Turkish side Konyaspor were believed to be interested in acquiring his services before the closure of the transfer window. Abdul-Aziz backtracked on his decision but the Cairo giants insisted they did not intend to keep a player against his wish. However, the 30-year-old says he wants to play under new coach Decastel, who took over from Refaat. "I think things will be different under Decastel," he told FilGoal.com on Thursday, referring to Zamalek's poor results in recent months. "I'm pleased that the Swiss coach took charge of the club." Abdul-Aziz returned to Zamalek last summer after spending seven years playing in the Turkish Super Lig.
