Video: ENPPI see off 10-man Petrojet to reach cup final
Published in FilGoal on 26 - 01 - 2009

ENPPI have booked a place in the Egyptian Cup final for the second year running after beating Petrojet 3-1 at Petrosport Stadium on Monday.
A second-half double from Ahmed Raouf sealed the win for the 2005 cup champions, after Adel Mostafa's penalty cancelled out Eric Bekoe's opener for Petrojet.
Petrojet boss Mokhtar Mokhtar, who was sent off before the break, started with Walid Soliman on the bench as the influential playmaker is joining Ahli Jeddah on loan this week.
The visitors found themselves in front after 20 minutes, when Ghanaian forward Bekoe notched in a loose ball inside the six-yard box, scoring his second goal in two games for Petrojet.
Five minutes later, Mostafa put ENPPI back on level terms with a penalty, following Mohamed Al-Fakahani's foul on Mohamed Ibrahim.
Al-Fakahani's evening was over in the 41st minute, when he was given a straight red card for a ferocious tackle on Abdul-Aziz Tawfeek.
Matters went from bad to worse for Petrojet on the stroke of half-time, as coach Mokhtar was also dismissed for protesting against referee Hamdi Shaaban.
Missed Opportunities

Bekoe scored one but missed many
Despite being a man down, Petrojet had more than one chance to restore their lead, but eventually failed to punish ENPPI's vulnerable defense.
Bekoe was at the center of everything for the hosts, but the pacey striker spurned several opportunities to score again, including a clear-cut one-on-one situation minutes after the interval.
Eventually, the ex-Kotoko hitman made way for Soliman, who could not help his team in his last game.
In the 74th minute, Vincent Die Foneye unselfishly set up Raouf with a clever pass, and the latter dispatched a 12-yard finish into the back of Ahmed Fawzi's net for the precious winner.
Petrojet committed men forward as Mokhtar brought in striker Alaa Ibrahim for defender Osama Mohamed, but the move cost his side another goal instead.
One minute from time, Egypt international striker Raouf killed off the game with a carbon copy of his first goal; this time Blackburn-bound winger Ahmed Al-Muhammadi was on the assist.
ENPPI, who made it to the cup final for the third time in five years, will face either Harras Hodoud or Asyut Petroleum who will meet on Tuesday.
