Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri asked his players not to take their upcoming clash against first division side Al-Koroum lightly. The Red Devils will be facing the Alexandria club in the first round of the Egyptian Cup on Thursday, and Al-Badri stressed that it won't be an easy game. "Al-Koroum are playing in the first division, but this doesn't mean they are not a good side," Al-Badri told Ahli's official website. "We have to remember that Last year we were knocked out of the cup by Petroleum Asyut, who were also playing in the first division." Meanwhile, Ahli technical staff have decided to give midfielder Mohamed Barakat a week's rest due to the player's fatigue. The 32-year-old is already suspended for the Koroum game after collecting three yellow cards, and the technical staff decided to rest him in order to be fit for the club's upcoming crunch of games.
