CF Pachuca are determined to atone for their early disqualification from the FIFA Club World Cup in 2007, said Leobardo Lopez on Monday. The Mexican side were ousted from the 2007's competition after being condemned to a 1-0 defeat by Tunisia's Etoile Sahel in the First Round. They made it to the Premier championship again in 2008, and now they are keen to prove their worth on the international stage. "After the way we were knocked out last year, when we didn't perform as we'd hoped, our thoughts immediately turned to setting the record straight," the defender told FIFA.com. "We knew we'd get another chance to go to Japan if we won the CONCACAF [Champions Cup] and with God's help we did it. Now we have to focus on putting in a fine performance and giving a very good account of ourselves. "I just focus on doing my job well for my club and on improving my performances with every game." The 25-year-old said he's dreaming about reaching the final, emphasizing on the importance of the team's attitude. "You always have to think big and of course I think about this and imagine what something that huge would be like," he said. "I just hope that happens because it would mean we're on the right track and in the final." Pachuca are facing African champions Ahli in the First Round on Saturday, and the winners shall take on Liga de Quito in the semi-final.
