Five Ahli players have been called up by coach Hassan Shehata for Egypt's upcoming friendly game against Benin on November 19th. The Master have been waiting until Ahli finish their commitments in the CAF African Champions League before announcing his final squad to meet Benin. Ahli achieved a sixth Champions League trophy after holding Coton Sport of Cameroon to a 2-2 draw on Sunday, taking the result to a 4-2 win on aggregate. Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib told FilGoal.com that Shehata decided to include Amir Abdul-Hamid, Ahmed Al-Sayed, Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Ahmed Hassan within the Pharaohs squad. Gharib added that the players will join the rest of the Egypt team upon their arrival from Cameroon on Monday. The Benin exhibition is Egypt's first, as part of the African Champions preparations for the World Cup qualifiers final phase starting next March.
