Ahli's joyous fans flooded Cairo streets to celebrate their side's record-breaking sixth Champions League title. The Red Devils clinched the prestigious title after holding Coton Sport to a 2-2 draw in Cameroon to win 4-2 on aggregate. Right after the final whistle, fans spilled out of houses and cafes. They danced, screamed and waved Ahli's flags to display unadulterated joy. "Ahli are the African champions, the world champions!" Mohamed Farouk, a 20-year-old fan, said while jumping up in joy. Cars honked their horns while some fans waved Japan's flag to celebrate Ahli's qualification for the Club World Cup which will take place in the Asian country next month. Ironically, some people, who have no interest in football, were not pleased that Ahli won. "What happens in the streets after every triumph for Ahli or Egypt is unbearable," graphic designer Karim Ibrahim Said. "After Egypt won the 2006 Nations Cup, some people obstructed my way, climbed above my car and refused to let me pass."
