Tottenham Hotspur have announced the sacking of coach Juande Ramos as Harry Redknapp is appointed after leaving Portsmouth. "The Club is delighted to announce that it has appointed Harry Redknapp as Manager," a Tottenham statement read. Redknapp left Pompey after a successful bout at Fratton Park, where he led the team to the FA Cup title last season. The 61-year-old is handed the task of saving Spurs from relegation, following a disastrous start. Spaniard Ramos failed to win in eight Premiership games with Spurs so far this season, leaving the team bottom of the table with two points. Furthermore, Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat at Udinese in the UEFA Cup last week. Sporting Director Damien Comolli and first team coaches Marcos Alvarez and Gus Poyet have also left the club.
