Portsmouth have announced that Tony Adams is the team's new head coach, following the departure of Harry Redknapp to Tottenham. "It's my time, and I think I'm ready. It's a great opportunity for me and I would have been mad to turn it down," Adams said. The former Arsenal favorite signed a two-year-deal at Fratton Park, where he served as assistant coach during the past two years. Adams will kickoff his Pompey reign with a tough tie against unbeaten leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday.
