De Rossi keeps faith despite Chelsea defeat
Published in FilGoal on 23 - 10 - 2008

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi was proud of his side's brave display despite the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The Romans' defense showed a lot of resilience at Stamford Bridge, and they could have secured a valuable draw if it wasn't for John Terry's second half header.
"We put in a fiercely focused performance and we never gave up against a great team,” De Rossi told the Roma Channel after the game.
"Chelsea have a huge amount of quality and they can win games like this with one chance."
Since the start of the season, The Lupi have been suffering a dismal form that left them 14th in Serie A and third in their Champions League group.
"I think we are on the right track now, and the return of Francesco Totti is a great boost because he is a player of incredible importance.
"A draw against Chelsea would have been important to us but we managed to play on a level with one of the top three sides in Europe," added the Italian international.
De Rossi showed sympathy for the Roma faithful, as the Chelsea defeat came on the background of the heavy 4-0 league thrashing against Inter.
"I can't find the words to say to the fans, the Chelsea game was fairly normal but what happened against Inter left me speechless.
"All we can do is give everything for these fans and their support can give us that."
