Zenit St. Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak revealed that German champions Bayern Munich are holding talks to bring him to Allianz Arena. “There are ongoing negotiations between Zenit and Bayern over a possible January move,” Pogrebnyak was quoted as saying by Bild. Earlier reports suggested that Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann is looking for a replacement to Lukas Podolski who is set to leave the club in January after refusing to be a benchwarmer for Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni. Pogrebnyak who scored twice against Bayern in last year's UEFA Cup semi final said that moving to Bayern would be a dream come true. “I've supported Bayern since I was a child. My father once brought me a Bayern kit that had Jurgen Klinsmann's name on it.” Klinsmann will be looking to boost his striking options, especially after Bayern's poor league form with only two wins from their first six games.
