AC Milan have registered their first win of the season after beating FC Zurich 3-1 on Thursday in their UEFA Cup opener. The victory eases pressure on coach Carlo Ancelotti who couldn't get any points from his first two Serie A games. He made a few changes in his squad as Brazilian Nelson Dida started between the sticks while Gianluca Zambrotta, Andrea Pirlo, Filippo Inzaghi and Alessandro Nesta were rested. Marek Jankulovski broke the deadlock in the 45th minute picking a shot parried from Andriy Shevchenko. Alexandre Pato doubled the lead in the 56th minute scoring a brilliant free kick from 25 yards. Sheva came in action again and served substitute Mario Borriello to score the third goal in the 73rd minute. The visitors pulled one back 5 minutes later when Dusan Djuric fired a spectacular long-range drive.
