Zamalek assistant coach Tarek Yehia said it was inappropriate for Ahli playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika to aim a silence gesture towards the opposition fans. Although he is known for being a calm-mannered player, Abou-Treika couldn't control his temper when he netted Ahli's equalizer in the 2-2 Champions League draw with Zamalek. He rushed towards Zamalek fans with his finger to his lips in a shushing gesture. The classy playmaker was infuriated by the fans' constant insults towards him. “Abou-Treika's action was disrespectful. A player of his caliber shouldn't have done that,” Yehia told Nile Sports after the game. “Abou-Treika should have run towards his own fans to celebrate his goal with them.” The Egyptian international netted his ninth goal in the Cairo derby to help already-qualified Ahli salvage a draw with Zamalek in the Champions League group stage.
