Mohamed Abou-Treika denied on Friday that Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri demanded him to take part in the Egyptian League match against Ismaili even though he is rested. The talented playmaker was among eight players who have been rested for the remaining few games of the league campaign following Ahli's third successive triumph. Media reports said that Al-Badri, who is currently leading Ahli as Portuguese boss Manuel Jose spends a vacation in his homeland, told Abou-Treika to be ready for Ismaili match following the African champions' 2-0 defeat to Zamalek in Cairo derby. "Al-Badri haven't talked to me about anything related to Friday's match against Ismaili," the former Tersana man told El-Osboa newspaper. "It is very hard for me to be ready for the match as I haven't trained with Ahli since our 2-0 victory over Al-Gaish two weeks ago." Abou-Treika stated that he joined Egypt's preparation camp for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers match against Mauritania away from home on June third. Section of Ahli fans criticized Jose's decision to rest eight regulars after the team's substitutes couldn't put in a convincing performance against arch-rivals Zamalek. Ahli are looking to avenge their 3-0 home defeat to Ismaili when they take on the Dervishes in the last Egyptian League game on Friday.
