Wenger slams Manchester City
Published in FilGoal on 12 - 09 - 2008

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has slammed Manchester City's owners for the way they have been using in their transfer policy.
"The rules are there. Let's get them respected," the Frenchman told the Sun.
"Football is not a supermarket. There is money in the game and I take it in a positive way. But the football bodies have to make sure money is ruled properly and used well for the ethic of the game," Wenger added.
New City owner Dr. Sulaiman Al-Fahim has revealed his intentions of launching future bids for Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas, Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Manchester United hot shot Cristiano Ronaldo.
"We won't sell Cesc Fabregas even for £135million.
"You cannot come out and say ‘next week we pay £250,000 to Ronaldo and £135million' when the player has a contract with Man United. It's not possible or acceptable," added Wenger.
Abu Dhabi United Group Investment and Development Limited completed a takeover of the club, on September 1, in a deal reported to be worth £200 million. They wasted no time as they clinched Robinho from under the nose of Chelsea for an English record £32.5million.
"What is worrying is that a player signs somewhere and then the next day he does not even know where he has signed. You cannot say that is a good trend," he said.
Wenger's top summer signing was Samir Nasri brought from Marseille worth £12million.
