Italian authorities have pointed fingers at organized mafia to be behind the recent violent riots caused by Napoli fans en route to attending the club's League game against away to AS Roma on Sunday. Some 1,500 Napoli ultras caused mayhem within train stations between the two cities and ended up occupying a whole train in Naples, causing half million Euros damages and demanding free trips to the eternal city. The incident resulted in posing a season-long ban on all Napoli fans from attending away games. "We have a reason to believe that there was the influence of organized crime behind the incidents provoked by the Neapolitan fans," Police Chief Antonio Manganelli was quoted as saying by ANSA on Wednesday. "It's no coincidence that this investigation has been entrusted to the DDA (District Anti-Mafia Department)." The ban is the latest in a series of violent activities in Italy after a Lazio fan and a Policeman were killed in separate occasions last season.
