Baptista joins Roma – reports

Press reports in Italy and Spain have confirmed that Julio Baptista is set to become a Roma player as a deal with Real Madrid has been finalized.
“It's all done. The reports in the Spanish Press are true, even if the figures are a little wrong. Julio Baptista is a Roma player,” agent Ernesto Bronzetti told Calciomercato.it.
According to Marca, the Romans will pay around £10.5m plus £300,000 per season for the next two years if they qualify for the Champions League.
This is while the Brazilian striker, nicknamed the beast, will ink a four-year deal worth £2.2m per year.
The 26-year old player failed to break through Real Madrid's first team since his arrival in 2005. The signing of Dutch forward Rafael Van der Vaart will surely reduce his chances.
