Mohamed Zidan's agent hinted that his client will not leave Hamburg for Ittihad Jeddah this summer. "There is no signing yet, nothing has changed," agent Ivan Marco Benes was quoted by Bild. The Egyptian striker was admittedly linked with a move to the Saudi side, but the transfer was not most welcomed by Ittihad coach Gabriel Calderon. Zidan's first season at Nordbank Arena was anything but successful, as he only managed four goals in all competitions with the Bundesliga team. However, Benes believes that the 26-year-old has a chance of making up for last season's underachieving, following the appointment of Martin Jol. "HSV now have a new coach, this is exciting for Mohamed. He should try force his way into Jol's team," Benes added. Zidan had a frosty relationship with former coach Huub Stevens, who was involved in a war of words with the former Mainz forward in late.
