Valencia have terminated the contract of coach Ronald Koeman, following Sunday's 5-1 defeat at Athletic Bilbao. The Primera Liga strugglers announced that the former Barcelona star will be replaced by Salvador Gonzalez 'Voro', who shall be in charge until the end of the season. "Ronald Koeman has had his contract rescinded by mutual agreement," Valencia said. "Voro has been appointed coach with total freedom to do what he thinks needs to be done to take the club forward in these last five matches with the 25 first team players." Dutchman Koeman took over from Quique Sanchez Flores last November, but Los Ches dropped down from fourth place to 16th under his management. Now Voro is left with the task of keeping Valencia in the top flight as the three-time UEFA Cup winners are just two points off the relegation zone.
