Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi admires Cristiano Ronaldo's capabilities despite being previously irritated by the Portuguese's showboating. "I must admit that I didn't like him very much before,” Lippi was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia magazine on Thursday. "I didn't like all those fancy moves and the way he played around with the ball. I had the impression that he irritated and offended his opponents, but apparently I was wrong." Roma midfielder David Pizarro was unhappy with Ronaldo's tricks in his side's 2-0 Champions League defeat to Manchester United. He said that Ronaldo should have shown more respect for his opponents. However, Lippi doesn't believe that the former Sporting Lisbon man is trying to show-off. "I realize that is just the way that he plays. He isn't being disrespectful to anyone – it's just the way that he expresses himself."
