The Portuguese turned from scorer to provider in the 33rd minute when his cross was headed home by Argentinean striker Carlos Tevez. Wayne Rooney broke his goal-scoring duck eight minutes into the second half before putting the icing on the cake in the 70th minute. Title holders United remain in charge of the table with 76 points, six clear of second-placed Arsenal, who defeated Bolton 3-2 earlier on Saturday.
