Egyptian winger Ahmed Abou-Mosallam revealed on Friday that he is close to joining Romanian side Rapid Bucharest on a three-month loan deal. "I sat down with Dinamo Bucharest officials and found out that they are very interested in signing me. I agreed to join them," Abou-Mosallam told FilGoal.com. "Most of the contract details have been sorted out. I'll likely pen the deal on Saturday morning." Since the departure of Strasbourg former boss Jean-Pierre Papin, Abou-Mosallam has found first-team opportunities limited under new coach Jean-Marc Furlan. He is now determined to revive his career with Rapid, whom he believes will give him a chance to prove himself. "Rapid are a very good team. They are competing for the league title and have a chance of playing in the Champions League next season," the former Ahli man said. "Joining Rapid is the best solution for me because I want to play on a regular basis instead of sitting on the bench at Strasbourg."
